First I would like to thank you very much to your solidarity and your nice feelings and support. Really I was so very happy when I received your call and listen to your voice and read your emails, but I am sorry that I can’t answer your email directly, this is because we don't have electricity for 12 days, so today we have for few hours.
The situation here is very very bad and so terrible, more 1000 people have been killed, 30% from this number are children and 4000 injured, most of the building and houses destroyed and effected from the shelling and bombing, so maybe i am sad to tell you some of our beneficiaries and those you met have been killed especially in north Gaza near the border where you came in. in my bad dreams i never see it as bad as now.
Israel not allowed for the people to enter these areas, just a few UN staff and red cross, but not enough, you can't imagine about the situation, that some of the peoples whom killed by bombing through in the streets for couple days and some of them eaten by dogs. bits of body in road and children silent, all shock.
The people in north area left their places and homes and take the UN schools as shelter under very bad situation, no food, no water but the shelters are not safe, they are bombing the shelters and the UN shelters also.
Not any protection for us, we ask where the human rights in over the world, where are they orla, are they saw what going on here. Why do they not do something for us?
This man you mention from UN, who can get in, if he can phone me i will give him locations of our families, but they all over and some no street places, you think like the families you met living under trees and under plastics places.
Finally, thanks orla for you and all our friends who have been helping us, i still hope we see each other next time.
