Tuesday’s Child
I love this album. Spanning a wide spectrum with modern ballads,
soul, country and traditional Irish influences freely intermingled,
it is a truly powerful collection. The tone is set by the first track ‘You
Could Be Happy’ by Snow Patrol. It is a tremendous track, quite
exquisite - with a feel of both traditional and 21st century music.
This sense of both traditional and contemporary runs right throughout
the album. It will appeal to all, whatever your age and tastes.
It is really hard to pick out favourite tracks, but the title track ‘Tuesday’s
Child’ is very powerful and reflects the essence of this album,
the proceeds of which are going to help the poorest and neediest
of children in this world through the charity, Tuesday’s Child. ‘Speaking
with the Angel’, ‘Seoithin Seo’ ‘Let This
Moment Linger On’ and ‘Beach of Stone’ are also
tremendous songs with superb arrangements.
There are too many songs of quality to comment on individually,
and there are no bad tracks. You’ll find many widely acclaimed
Irish artists – like Mary Black, Ronan Keating, Duke Special,
Liam O’Maonlai and Eleanor McEvoy - on this album. Each one
of them gave freely of their time and talent to make this album truly
special and to make a difference to children who have very little.
Let’s hope and pray that it does that!
The feeling in the lyrics, and the depth of emotion in the sound
combined with the incredibly worthwhile drive behind this double
album make this the most original, beautiful and moving collection
I've heard in a long time. This album will speak to you. Are you
ready to listen? Don’t miss the opportunity. It’s brilliant
stuff. Buy it. Give it as a present to your friends and family. Tell
everyone about it. Every little helps. Together, we can make a difference
in the lives of the world’s poorest kids.
Tuesday’s child is - without a doubt - full
of grace.
